Which Trainspotting Character Are You?
I’m no a poof!

Well, I see a sad but fun day on the horizon. Jessica and I will head to Myrtle Beach tomorrow for Garrett’s last show with The Beatholes. Garrett rocks a guitar, drums, keyboard, you name it like Freddie Mercury rocked a toot on a dude flute. Bad analogy maybe…What I meant to say is that Garrett is really good at playing instruments. He adds a lot to The Beatholes. He’s had a hand in writing songs, getting merchandise stuff done, and of course melting guitars with massive amounts of blood, sweat, and grease from plain cheeseburgers via Wendy’s. Not only will we see The Beatholes, but also Mic Harrison of Superdrag fame (always wanted to say that). It should be great. You should go and see it if you can. It’ll be at The Social in Myrtle Beach, SC. I’ll be signing autograffs as well on George Cooper’s butt cheeks.
Time for me to go home now. Rawk.

ONE Person I Want To See Right Now
1. Me in the reflection of the flushing mechanism of the urinal…I gotta go!
I thought I’d take a minute before I eat my PB&J to fill everyone in on why Ritz Camera won’t get anymore of my business when it comes to processing. As you know from the past two posts, I’ve been waiting for some prints. They had a mini-lab problem and I said, “hey that’s fine.” Well, I got the prints back yesterday, and they just aren’t right. Some of it is my fault as I am learning a new technique using a flash gun. However, the problems were that they don’t seem to grasp the idea of cleaning the negatives. I first thought that I must have some dirt on my lenses or maybe some crap on the pintaprism. Well, the marks were inconsistent on consequent prints. Then I noticed that they had chopped one negative in half. No wonder there wasn’t a print, they chopped the fucking negative! When I went in there to drop the film off, the guy behind the counter was like, “oh I see you are shooting on pro film, what kind of camera do you shoot with?” Spare me the shop talk. I want nice negatives and prints so I use nice film. You don’t have to have a great camera for that. I’ll be going back to King Street Photo from now on even though it’ll triple the distance. I just don’t want sales people condescending me about what kind of camera I use when the mini-lab people at Target do a better job of caring for my negatives and prints. If only they used the chemicals and paper I liked, I’d take my work there…oh yeah, they also closed the photo-processing lab at my local Target.
Here is one shot though from the batch that I was happy with. I fixed some of the dust from the negative in Photoshop, but it’s otherwise untouched. I know it’s easy to say, but the print looks much better. That is why I buy the film that I do. Anyway…here ya go.
So yesterday’s trip to pick up my photos was a no-go. They still hadn’t fixed the mini-lab, but they told me the photos would be ready for pick up today. Jessica and I met up with Ben for some Ci-Ci’s pizza. That was pretty nice. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Ben and he was in Ben form as usual. Always funny, always fun.
We went home and played a little Tiger Woods 2004 on Jay’s X-Box and hit the hay. I’m looking forward to the next installment of Tiger Woods. I talked with a friend of mine in Columbia and his company is supposed to make the trees for it, which will be kind of cool. I think for the first time in a very long time, I am excited about a game system. I think I might just have to treat Jessica and myself to the new X-Box when it becomes available to me.
Ta ta.
