Well the long answer includes some stuff about how the flickr community is less snobbish and a whole lot of other reasons including a better/quicker interface.

The short answer is that I think DeviantArt should change it’s name to DeviantGothTitties.com. Just browse for today’s top favorites in people photography and you’ll find that the majority of the shots are goth girl boobs. I don’t condemn the website as a whole or the people that go there really. I just like that on Flickr you can search for what you want to see for free without having to dig through heaps of 14 year old girls getting half naked in front of their parent’s bathroom mirrors with their new powershot they got for Christmas. Then they name it something like “Soul’s Deceit”. It’s just a young girl in front of a mirror with way too much flash and some striped socks on.

Isn’t it funny how my short answer was longer than my long answer. Not really eh? Didn’t think so either.

Toodles.

Tomorrow we get to see George and Lauren which is good, not to mention we’ll be dining at Poogan’s Porch. It’s good so I’ve heard. Never been before.

Exciting post indeed.

Just a quick note to thank everyone for their concern regarding my grandmother. The funeral service was very nice and the trip altogether was bittersweet. It was good to see family that I haven’t seen in years even if under unhappy circumstances. It was bad to miss so much work at this time of year. I have a ton to catch up on, so I will be MIA for a week or so.

I hope 2006 brings happiness to everyone.

Rainy and wet.

It’s rainy out. This is weather I’d normally welcome, but today it stinks. Jessica and I are going to get on the road to North Carolina for my grandmother’s funeral tomorrow. We’ll be back tomorrow night so we can go to work on Wednesday. I hate the thought of leaving her grave and rushing home to go to work. I hate that I feel guilty for missing a day because we are so far behind on several projects. I wish I could snap my fingers and have all my “catch-up” wprk be completed at work and just start with a clean slate. Wish in one hand, shit in the other and see which one fills up first I guess.

This will be the first time in years that I’ve seen some of my family and leaving them again after just a few hours makes me a little sick. I think I know what some of my trips this year might be.
