Chock full of errors.

June 30, 2006

It’s late and I’m tired. Don’t expect much by way of grammar.

Work has been incredibly busy. We’re running a little late getting the final catalog published. They used to be 32 pages and now they are 64 pages. This presented some challenges indeed. We are in the final proofing stage at the moment, so I can soon breathe a little. I’m also getting ready to launch a newly re-designed intranet for my company. I started it in early 2005, but it’s been on hold due to the publishing season. I’m pretty proud of it though. I trimmed the old one down to the new one. It’s going from 1.23GB and over 15,000 files to 45MB and about 900 files.

Today, post work, was a lot of fun. I made dinner reservations for 7:15, but Jessica and I actually got home on time so I changed out of my work clothes and we headed out. After some delicious salads and soup we headed to Folly Beach for a long walk. I love walking on the beach after dinner when the sun is settling in and glowing like a…glow worm? After the beach we hit up Ye Olde Fashioned Ice Cream Shoppe for some frozen goodies and then headed home. We haven’t spent very much couple time together in a while…work, house, on-the-move, always too busy. I’m glad we got to have some time together.

Home. I’m here writing in this thing again. I’m waiting for some clothes to finish up in the dryer, and for George and Lauren to get here. There is practice tomorrow in Myrtle Beach. George is going to ride up with Jessica and me. It’s a short one though. We’ll be heading back tomorrow night as we both have stuff going on Sunday.

Our foundation was poured today which is exciting. It looks like we may be in by November. We were hoping for Christmas before, but now it’s likely to be Thanksgiving. That would be awesome. I don’t want to get my hopes up too much though. We still have to make it through hurricane season and contractor mishaps and delays.

You know what’s weird? While some people are plotting their next quip or trip to the plastic surgeon, or paint color for their new house…there are crazies plotting to kill us because of our geographical location. While some of us pray for a new car for graduation or no zits on prom night…there are crazies praying for our deaths. Yikes fool!

Showtime
