Prepare for some download time…there are about ten pics loading in this post. I’m excited to say that I finally got around to the photos from Memorial Day this year. Jessica and I went to Greenville as usual to visit with her family and poke around. This time we mostly poked around at the Greenville Zoo. Due to that, I added “Flora” and “Fauna” categories to the “Prints” section of jebbgraff.com. Anyone want a Leopard or Flamingo for their wall? Well if so, check em out. Here’s a sample below.

Burgers are good.

I have a bridal session tomorrow and two family portrait sessions this week. Lots of work ahead for me, but that’s what I like to do.

More Charleston scenic pics coming soon…I promise.

Catching Up

July 23, 2007

I’ve been catching up on a lot of old “just for fun” photos lately as well as catching up with an old buddy. I combined the two this past weekend and shot some photos of the old chap downtown. Jay is always up for cameras. So many people are scared to have their picture made, but Jay jumps at the opportunity and has fun with it. Shots for him, fun for me, and catching up.

Jay and I got to be friends way back when. We were in middle school, but I think it’s fair to say that we didn’t really get to be buds until somewhere around the end of our freshman year in high school…or was it the beginning? That’s pretty irrelevant I guess. Anyway, we roomed together some in college and he was my roommate when I first moved back down here after my stint in Columbia. I’m easy to fall out of touch with. I’ve always had a mindset that if people fall out of touch, then they just do. No need to keep everything the same as it always was…nostalgia be damned. Notice I said nostalgia, NOT memories. Memories are very important to me. I just don’t like to try to live in a time that has long passed. People have to grow. I am absolutely happy with bumping into people and socializing. Jay and I have grown into very different people than we were 10 years ago, and I think we are pretty cool with that. I had a blast this past weekend talking music, playing Scrabble, taking photos, general hoop-lah. I’m glad we got the chance. See below for the pics.

These are some shots from a trip to Greenville back around Memorial Day. I’m just now getting around to converting them from RAW. There will be more of these to come, because I flat friggin love animals.

Break time is over for me.

Ross

July 18, 2007

I shot my sister’s extended family recently at the tip of Sullivan’s Island. I had some discouraging issues with my strobes, but still came back with some pretty good shots. I certainly wish it had gone a little smoother with the lights though. Pocket Wizards are a must for the future. I just can’t rely on Nikon CLS in fast changing conditions.

Here are a couple from the session.

Finally!

July 15, 2007

Charlie and Heather came by last night for their wedding photo review. As far as I could tell they loved their photos! I was really excited to finally get to show them. I hit a few snags in post processing with time taken out from my being sick, Albert being vet bound, and my mom having back surgery. I really don’t like to take so long on getting shots ready for my customers. All said; the Benton wedding photos have now been posted to their proper print galleries on www.jebbgraff.com.

Charlie and Heather, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day and for being so understanding and hospitable. Surfing, board games, and many a good time are ahead.

Bullets

July 10, 2007

• Albert’s blood test came back normal. No more sick cats.

• Lunch with Jay at Wild Wing. Delicious lunch and great to meet back up with the old homey. Future guitar hero-ing and hanging is on the books.

• Two more bookings = happy Jebb.

• Jessica rolled us in poker, but mainly because Cathy left the table to take car of wee Maddox.

• Happy Birthday Cathy!

• Mom’s back surgery went well. Updates to come, but right now I am just amazed at the quickness and efficiency of modern surgery. I’m thankful that she did so well and will be able to walk again soon.

• Work is heating up. Lots of work is waiting in the wings, but I’m actually looking forward to it. Web design is fun.

• Time is up.
