What Blog?

September 28, 2008

I know I’ve been a bad blogger lately. I’ve got some upcoming posts with lots of new photos. Leigh and ResortQuest have both been keeping me more than busy the past few weeks between weddings galore & website deadlines I haven’t had much time to update anything.

Leigh and I photographed an awesome wedding that started with a gorgeous rehearsal dinner on Friday night at the South Carolina Aquarium and ended last night at the William Aiken House. I can’t wait to share those photos. Today we’ll be photographing a wedding at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant. It has one of the best views in all the Charleston area. The ships pass so close it seems like you can touch them.

Last weekend we photographed Mary Frances & her new husband Andy out at Magnolia Plantation. Gawwwwjus is how they pronounce this one.

More to come…

Comments

September 19, 2008

While I’m waiting for a Lightroom export, I figured I’d try to fix my comments on the old blog. I think I’ve been successful, but would appreciate your help. Feel free to leave me a comment and I’ll see if it comes through for moderation.

Bank Heist

September 17, 2008

Whoa! My stepdad (Gary) was at the South Carolina Federal Credit Union in Goose Creek yesterday when two guys came rushing in. Gary said one of them was waving what looked like a chrome .45 around shouting to get down & that they didn’t want to hurt anyone while the other guy jumped the counter to get the cash. They left leaving everyone unharmed. Gary was only about 10 or 12 feet away from the guy waving the gun. I may be selfish for saying it but I’m really glad Gary didn’t try to take the guy down or anything. People who are crazy enough to think it’s easy to get away with robbing a bank are crazy enough to pull a trigger. Gary is known for having quick reflexes under intense and bad situations, and I’m really glad he didn’t do anything and get hurt. He’s in the video below wearing the dark blue mechanic uniform walking with the police officer.

If the video isn’t showing up for you, you can find it here on the local news channel WCIV website.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

September 13, 2008

Yesterday was a pretty big day in my career path and life even though it passed just like any ordinary day. As most of you know, photography is one of my greatest passions beyond hobby. Photos fascinate me and I find the digital era absolutely intriguing. After some negotiations over the past month or so, I have officially left my full-time position at my full-time employer. I worked there from 07/19/04 until yesterday 09/12/08. That job has been pretty great. Even better, I will continue doing work there as a vendor.

That’s my new retail license! I think it matches the bags and wrinkles under my eyes quite well don’t you think?

It’s pretty exciting to be self employed by Jebb Graff Photography LLC, but I know it’s going to take a lot of hard work and late nights to pull it all off. I’ve got some work lined up continuing to shoot and work with Leigh, but I am also actively seeking new clients of my own. If you know anyone looking to get married, family portraits, senior portraits, pet portraits, real estate photos, etc. please feel free to send them my direction.

This change will indeed change some aspects of my business, so be on the lookout for new information here.

Anyone know how to help me get my comments back?

Hanna For My Birthday

September 5, 2008

It looks as though she will pass us by, but unfortuneatly there is no definite on that. I am working from home waiting to get the latest update from the office for our Weather Alert web pages. After that I’ll be getting ready to hunker down and prepare a better post if we don’t lose power too early.

All my batteries are charged for the wedding tomorrow. So far they plan on having it if the weather isn’t too bad, so it ought to be interesting.

I know it’s a little late considering today is my birthday, but I thought I would share a few things on my wishlist from thethingsiwant.com. wink wink…boy do I love those D3 cameras wink wink. ;)

I have no clue why y comments don’t work anymore, but am trying to figure that out.

Stay safe kiddos.
