Passive Blogging

Here’s a link to a post from 2004 when my wife and I were getting started dating.

I love her more now than I did then.

Songs

June 26, 2009

There’s no questioning the impact that music has had on me. I love to play, listen to it, and share it when I like it etc. Ryan Adams has been punching me in the stomach lately with songs like this one. “Two” with video and lyrics below.

Two

If you take me back
Back to your place
I’ll try not to bother you I promise
‘Cause it’s cold in here
And I wish it was hot
The sink’s broke, it’s leaking from the faucet
And i’m fractured from the fall
And i wanna go home
But it takes two when it used to take one
It takes two when it used to take only one
Well, my money’s no good when i’m up to no good
No good ever comes from it, honest
I got a really good heart
I just can’t catch a break
If i could i’d treat you like you wanted me to i promise
But i’m fractured from the fall
And i wanna go home
I’m fractured from the fall
And i wanna go home
But it takes two when it used to take one
It takes two when it used to take one
It takes two when it used to take one
It takes two when it used to take only one

A couple of weeks/months ago (who’s counting?) a really good buddy of mine from Columbia stopped in to see me while they were in town for business. Monkey business of course. Anyway, I snapped this of them while they were here in the studio and then we went and had a pint at Madra Rua. Short post from a man of many words…just the wrong ones.

ben: Laughing at boners is fun! I need to post my high school dance pic to go with it.

Every photographer takes photos of trains and “gritty urban landscapes” at some point. Usually their first year of school or their first week with their new camera. Sure I did that too…and I still do it, because it’s fun. So there.

Karen Rabert: Nice pics, Jeb

Leigh: Hey! Looks like you are getting back into the groove. I like it.

Patrick: I like the second one. It looks like someone parallel-parked their locomotive in front of the office! You might be able to do a caption contest with that one. If I was witty, I'd come up with one now...

This one is going to be some photos from a recent wedding at the Daniel Island Club with Leigh.

Someone had to do something about all the gnats.
